Marta earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Health Psychology from Texas State University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, her educational background and professional training have influenced her belief that wellness is developed through a practical integration of all aspects of a person: biological, mental, spiritual, emotional, and social. Marta’s training, education, and research in the mind-body connection has enriched her passion for natural health.
Marta became interested in a holistic approach to her own health issues when she was struggling with food, skin, and seasonal allergies. After a lifetime of attempting to manage these symptoms through conventional medicine, she found the long-lasting relief and healing that she had always been searching for at Heights of Health. So inspired by the results and vibrant health that Heights of Health provided her, she decided to pursue further education and training with Tracy Southwick, founder of Heights of Health, so that she too could become a certified Practitioner and help others find optimal health.
Marta works with Heights of Health as a certified ECR Practitioner and also integrates her knowledge and experience by consulting with Heights of Health as a Holistic Family-Centered Specialist under the Holistic Behavior Division. Marta’s experience working in conventional medical, research, and rehabilitation settings, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and parent training for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, behavioral and/or mood issues in home and school settings, and performing educational, psychological, and neuropsychological assessments provides her with an extensive framework as a Holistic Family-Centered Specialist. Marta believes in providing families at Heights of Health with a comprehensive, holistic, individualized, and multimodal approach to address their issues and is dedicated to empowering clients so that they can successfully cope with life’s daily as well as long-term challenges.
We are proud to announce that Marta is currently studying to earn her PhD at the University of Houston with a fellowship so that she is temporarily unable to work directly with clients, but continues to share her passion and wisdom with our team.
