Functional Medicine Lab Testing at Heights of Health
Jul 07, 2025
We are so excited to announce that Allison McWhorter, ND (link to bio), has joined the Heights of Health team as our Functional Medicine Lab Testing Specialist. We are adding Allison’s invaluable test review and ‘Report-of-Findings’ service to provide ‘easily understood and interpreted’ science-based lab results to help you gain insights into what is happening in your body at a cellular level. These results will be helpful to your Practitioner as she works synergistically with all our current services.
We will also be able to provide the very best in genetic testing that not only looks at your unique genes but also how they work together within systems of your body. This is so that we can get a comprehensive view of how your individual body works, better understand limitations or deficits, thereby uncovering areas that can benefit from additional support - dietary, lifestyle and supplementation. All are science-backed.
Why Choose Functional Medicine Lab Testing?
Functional medicine lab testing is much more personalized and in-depth than most lab work we are accustomed to. The labs and their values are focused on optimal function of the body, not just absence of full-blown disease. It can be used to
- Find the root cause of health imbalances.
- Pick up on subclinical issues so that they can be addressed before serious health challenges arise – a preventative approach to health.
- Help your practitioner create an even more personalized plan to address imbalances.
- Track progress in your health journey.
- Give a whole-body perspective, recognizing that we are not just isolated organs or systems, the body works together as a beautiful and complicated symphony and should be treated as such.
At Heights of Health, we use Functional Medicine Lab Testing alongside our tried-and-true services to provide a truly holistic approach to health and wellbeing. We do not require testing but will recommend it if we feel it would be helpful.
